Typically, The landlords only wait a maximum of 1 month and require a certain amount of security deposit. So, the reasonable time for you to look for a rental before the date you plan to move in is 1 month.

Most of our rental options, as well as other rental brokerage agencies on the market, require a minimum rental period of 3 months – 6 months (upon terms and conditions). The rental options are suitable for foreigners who first come to Saigon HCMC for work, individuals who are looking for a job, or those needing a temporary place to stay before finding suitable long-term accommodation (1 year or more). Here are the common fees that you have to pay when renting a property:

• Electricity: from VND2,500 to 4,000/kWh
• Water: average cost is about $4,5/person/month
• Internet: from $12 to $20 (upon the certain installed package)
• Cable TV (if any): from VND150,000 to 500,000 (upon on each registered packages)
• Management service fee: about $0.4 – 2/m2/month (mostly for high-rise apartment buildings)
• Motorbike parking(if any): about $5.0 – 10/month
• Car parking (if any): about $50 – 90/month

The usual practice is for the utilities of the apartment buildings to be included in the management fee payment.
